Unfamiliarity with physiotherapy fees
More than half of the Dutch do not know what their health insurance pays for physical therapy. Additionally from 7 to 10 Dutch do not know about physical therapy and excess insurance. This is the finding of the Consumers' Association and the Royal Dutch Society for Physical Therapy.
About the study
The consumer panel of the Consumers was asked their opinion about insurance. Special attention in this study was the fees of the physiotherapist. These 1630 consumers have responded. The main conclusions of the study are: - 56% of respondents do not know exactly what cost to physiotherapy be reimbursed by the insurer. - 68% of respondents do not know about the risk of the insurance with physiotherapy. - 44 % think that the first six of physiotherapy treatment are not compensated, while the majority there (additional) insurance is for. –
The physiotherapist is evaluated with a large enough; with 68 times the figure '10 'is given. - 36% of respondents last year have been to the physiotherapist. - From group that has been to the physiotherapist said to have been treated by a physiotherapist 18% more than 2 times per month.
